Homopolymer Acetal or Delrin is the best plastic for turning on a lathe lathe. It is very easy to turn, but it does require slower speeds. I use this plastic to make Scottish small pipes chanters. Between the Delrin and POM-C rods, both materials are incredibly durable and easily machinable, as they have comparable physical properties.
